“People were running and falling down. Some were vomiting, some were clutching their throats, and many were lying dead.”

These haunting words come from one of the survivors of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in India, which took place in 1984. On the night of December 2-3, more than 40 tons of methyl isocyanate gas leaked from a pesticide plant in Bhopal, India. Considered the world’s worst industrial disaster, it exposed over 500,000 people in the towns surrounding the plant to the highly toxic gas, methyl isocyanate, leading to the deaths of over 16.000 people. The Indian government reported that more than half a million people were directly affected by the toxic gas.

Throughout the history, millions of disasters and tragedies have occurred in the industrial workplace. But there’s something different about this one. It became a turning point in the refinement and adoption of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). The outcome of such an incident was the introduction of stricter PPE regulations by governments, development of specialized protective equipment, and the establishment of global standards for PPE manufacturers to follow.

Since then, and as a result of the emphasis on this industry, a unique opportunity has emerged for the importers and wholesalers to invest in the PPE market and provide high-quality, top PPE products to people in a variety of industries, including healthcare and hospitals, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military and defense, mining, oil and gas, and chemical industries.
